Selvedge without the mythology

Selvedge is not a personality. It is a finishing detail and, often, a denser cloth. Thirteen to fifteen ounce Japanese or American mill denim will break in slower and last longer than a soft fashion jean. That is the useful claim. Everything about 'heritage' and 'raw forever' is marketing you can ignore.

Buy selvedge when you will wear it hard and you already know your rise and thigh. Buy good stretch denim when you sit at a desk all day and refuse to fight your pants. Both can clear the Prime Threads bar if the cut is honest and the markdown is real.
